The Southwestern Advantage Foundation is about boosting entrepreneurship education and experience for young people across European countries where the Southwestern Advantage student program is active. We’re grateful that we get to give out the Greete Poderat Scholarship for Young Athletes for the sixth year running. This scholarship is here to support passionate young athletes, just like Greete Poderat was. Sadly, Greete left us in 2019 at just 22 years old.
The whole idea behind this scholarship is to inspire and back young athletes, helping them chase their dreams and build career opportunities in top-level sports. That’s why we’re giving one talented young athlete a scholarship of 1200 euros.
Who Can Apply? Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Be between 15 and 19 years old.
- A recommendation letter from your coach.
- A list of your sporting achievements and any sports camps you’ve attended.
- Your most recent school report card.
- A motivation letter titled “How will the scholarship help me achieve my goals in sports?” In this letter, please tell us exactly how you’d use the money and how it’ll help you step up your game in your sport. Also, let us know what other financial options you have if you don’t get this scholarship.

Greete Poderat was a special young person who left us too soon. She was incredibly talented and hardworking, shining in both sports and entrepreneurship. To honor her memory, the Southwestern Advantage Foundation awards the Greete Poderat Scholarship for Young Athletes every spring.

Our big dream is to become the largest investment-based charity fund in Eastern Europe. We’re here to help young people gain knowledge and build character so they can turn their dreams into reality. We’re passionate about giving European youth better access to entrepreneurship education and teaching investment skills to those who don’t usually get the chance. Plus, we’re working hard to cut down poverty and stop it before it starts.
We put our efforts into charitable projects that match our mission. Here’s the cool part: we only donate from the fund’s passive income. Half of the returns (50%) go straight to charity, and the other half (50%) gets reinvested into the fund. That way, your support keeps doing good forever.
