Our 2nd charitable project in 2022 was supporting Bizness24h – the largest annual educational entrepreneurial promotion contest in Latvia, intended for young students.

Their mission is to inspire young people to start a business and show them how to build successful businesses and thereby develop the economy as a whole.

The competition was organized for the 14th time and there was a record number of 900 young participants. In the 2nd round of the competition, there were 300 participants or 100 teams and 13 teams made it to the finals. Through the challenges presented by the companies, the participants were able to adapt to the real business environment and experience the everyday life of the entrepreneur.

The competition took place in 2 rounds, enabling participants to demonstrate both their existing skills and to acquire new skills in practical ways.

In the second and final round of the competition, participants gained practical experience in e-commerce and online sales. The teams of participants had to work with companies and create sales tunnels for one of their products or services, as well as carry out marketing activities to gain customers.

The final took place on May 25, where 13 stronger teams presented to the jury the sales tunnels created in 3 months and their results. In the finals, the teams were judged on their profitability, the number of customers involved, the technical adequacy of the sales tunnel, and sustainability.

The teams that made it to the finals showed that previous business experience is not necessary and age is not a limit for accepting new challenges. The teams surprised the jury with the sales tunnels created during the 3 months and the results achieved. The jury appreciated the participants’ enthusiasm for the final presentations. Participants stated that during the competition they have developed their communication skills, especially in negotiations with representatives of companies, leaving their comfort zone, calling and contacting companies, and gaining useful skills and experience in business processes.

The team “Puchkornishko” won the title of “Business Guru 2022”. The team set up a sales tunnel and carried out marketing activities for modern clothing designs. As the winners of the 1st place, the team received a 2,400 euro scholarship and a cash prize of 600 euros.

We supported the competition with 600 euros. The Southwerstern Advantage sales awards went to teams SD-Rent, Mežasni and PPA. In addition, we helped the participating students with sales training and lectures.
