The goal of SA Southwestern Advantage is to promote entrepreneurial education and practical experience among young people in European countries where the Southwestern Advantage student program operates. In continuation of this mission, we once again organized the Entrepreneurial Youth Scholarship competition in Lithuania in the fall of 2025.

The purpose of the Entrepreneurial Youth Scholarship competition is to recognize and support entrepreneurial and active young people. The scholarship amount was €1,000, and a total of 22 students from Vilnius Tech, Vytautas Magnus University, Vilnius University, and SMK College of Applied Sciences applied. Selected candidates were invited to participate in a seminar where Southwestern Advantage sales leaders shared their knowledge of entrepreneurship as well as sales, presentation, and leadership skills. During the seminar, all candidates were also given the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones and deliver a short presentation.

Voting for the top nominee was open to representatives of Southwestern Advantage and the universities, as well as to the students themselves. Based on the combined results of all votes, we are delighted to announce that the recipient of the 2025 SW Entrepreneurial Youth Scholarship in Lithuania is Ugnė Morkūnaitė.

Ugnė Morkūnaitė presented an exceptionally strong profile that combines academic excellence, social entrepreneurship, and large-scale community leadership, all grounded in a clear and genuine vision for social impact. During the seminar, she naturally assumed a leadership role, actively engaging in discussions with fellow students and contributing thoughtful insights throughout the sessions.

Her elevator pitch was clear, confident, and purpose-driven, demonstrating strong alignment with the mission of the scholarship. Beyond her ideas, Ugnė stood out through her presence, initiative, and ability to bring people together—qualities that made her a natural choice as this year’s scholarship recipient.

Southwestern Advantage Foundation’s vision is to be the biggest charitable foundation in Eastern Europe that is built on investment principles and helping young people in obtaining knowledge and developing character so they can fulfill their dreams in life. We help European youth get better entrepreneurship education and offer investment knowledge to those who do not have the opportunity. We are working to reduce and prevent poverty.

We only donate money from the fund’s passive income by directing 50% of the return to charity and 50% back to the fund. That is how your good deed will remain giving forever.
