Our vision is to create the biggest sustainable foundation in Eastern Europe that is run by investment principles and supports the development of the youth. We wish to grow our fund’s assets in the most effective way and as transparently as possible by giving an overview of our charitable projects and investments.
As of end of 2022, we have donated a total of 13,189 euros since the beginning of 2017, out of which 3,700 euros last year. Our fourth good deed last year was the “Towards goals in life” scholarship awarded to a young Ukrainian student, which was won by Vira Lavrova:
We want to do 3-4 good deeds a year based on our mission to help young people acquire knowledge and skills and develop their character so that they can fulfill their dreams. We have planned several charity projects for 2023, including a good deed for Lithuanian youth and giving out Greete Poderat’s Young Athlete Scholarship for the 4th time.
We have fundraised 87,720 euros in donations to the fund by countries:
We are extremely thankful for all the support and especially for our month-to-month donors. Help us to do good by becoming our month-to-month donor.
We have invested a total of 87,072 euros. Since 2017, the fund’s assets have generated 16,897 euros of passive income, of which 7,717 euros is dividend income, 5,099 euros interest from crowdfunding projects, 2,689 euros interest from bonds, and 1,392 euros interest from loans. Passive income for 2022 was 4,574 €, out of which the 4th quarter returns were 912 €. In addition to passive income, we have earned 6,672 € from the sale of shares.
According to the principles of the fund, we direct 50% of the return on investments to charity and the remaining 50% to investments again. That way, your good deed will remain forever. Our wish is that the maintenance costs of the Foundation should be as low as possible. The fund’s only costs are bookkeeping, web hosting, bank fees, and an annual review. As the fund has grown, these costs have become more and more marginal.
In Q4 we issued loans for 4,000 € and bought some shares. We continue to invest in selected low-risk and cash-flow-generating assets. The fund’s net assets were 87,720 euros at the end of the 4th quarter.
We’re excited about the week-long Sizzler incentive trip in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, starting on January 29th, which will also feature a traditional charity auction. Many thanks to all our supporters and until next good deeds!
Southwestern Advantage Foundation’s vision is to be the biggest charitable foundation in Eastern Europe that is built on investment principles and helping young people in obtaining knowledge and developing character so they can fulfill their dreams in life. We help European youth get better entrepreneurship education and offer investment knowledge to those who do not have the opportunity. We are working to reduce and prevent poverty.
We only donate money from the fund’s passive income by directing 50% of the return to charity and 50% back to the fund. That is how your good deed will remain giving forever.
