We aim to grow the fund\u2019s assets as efficiently and transparently as possible, continuously providing updates on the fund\u2019s growth, charitable activities, and investments.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\" style=\"--awb-content-alignment:justify;\"><hr \/>\n<p><strong>Supporting the Charity Fund<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"409\" data-end=\"551\">The main supporters of the charity fund are students participating in the <strong data-start=\"483\" data-end=\"524\">Southwestern Advantage summer program<\/strong> and alumni of the program.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"553\" data-end=\"889\">At the annual charity auction held in January during the Southwestern Advantage incentive trip in Egypt, SW students collectively donated a record-breaking <strong data-start=\"709\" data-end=\"723\">\u20ac21,277.10<\/strong> to the foundation. Special thanks to <strong data-start=\"763\" data-end=\"784\">Paula Sandra Tiks<\/strong> for organizing the charity day, and to <strong data-start=\"824\" data-end=\"839\">Jan Khurana<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"844\" data-end=\"861\">Roland Liinar<\/strong> for conducting the auction.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"891\" data-end=\"1324\">We are deeply grateful to all who participated in the auction: <strong data-start=\"956\" data-end=\"1247\">Karel K\u00f5iv, May-Britt, Ilja Skopincevs, Lauris Krasovskis, Kristaps Kaza, Bruno Binovskis, Erik V\u00e4in, Alex Ajangu, Ignas Ruscekas, Saule Petreikyte, Markus Linnuk\u00fctt, Conrad Sengbusch, Sebastian Johanson, Sander Kangur, Gustavs Vanags, Artjoms Casnovics, Merke Reinaas, Paula Sandra Tiks<\/strong>, and our regular donors. Our next planned support will go to a project led by <strong data-start=\"2135\" data-end=\"2165\">Junior Achievement Estonia<\/strong> to fund an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ja.ee\/hea-ettevotja-aita-tuua-varsked-majandusteadmised-noorteni\/\">economics textbook for high school students<\/a>. Additionally, this spring we plan to award the <strong data-start=\"2271\" data-end=\"2322\">annual Greete Poderat Young Athlete Scholarship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Since spring 2024, we have awarded <strong data-start=\"2360\" data-end=\"2400\">\u201cEntrepreneurial Youth\u201d scholarships<\/strong> in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania totaling <strong data-start=\"2444\" data-end=\"2454\">\u20ac7,000<\/strong>. The goal of the scholarship is to recognize and support active and entrepreneurial young people who are willing to step out of their comfort zone. We plan to continue this project in the <strong data-start=\"2647\" data-end=\"2672\">fall semester of 2025<\/strong>, with a total <strong data-start=\"2687\" data-end=\"2724\">Baltic scholarship fund of \u20ac4,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-4\" style=\"--awb-content-alignment:justify;\"><hr \/>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Investments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In terms of investments and asset management, our goal is to achieve <strong data-start=\"2822\" data-end=\"2852\">at least 10% annual growth<\/strong> of the fund\u2019s assets. This allows us each year to allocate <strong data-start=\"2914\" data-end=\"2947\">5% of the fund\u2019s total volume<\/strong> to scholarships and grants, while continuing to grow the fund itself \u2014 ensuring that donors\u2019 good deeds keep doing good indefinitely. Our aim is to keep the foundation\u2019s administrative costs as low as possible so that, as the fund grows, these expenses become increasingly marginal.<\/p>\n<p>As of today, the fund\u2019s asset value has grown to <strong data-start=\"3282\" data-end=\"3294\">\u20ac142,945<\/strong>, and the <strong data-start=\"3304\" data-end=\"3330\">budget for 2025 grants<\/strong> is <strong data-start=\"3334\" data-end=\"3344\">\u20ac6,365<\/strong>. Compared to a year ago, the fund\u2019s assets have grown by <strong data-start=\"3404\" data-end=\"3413\">22.5%<\/strong>, and by <strong data-start=\"3422\" data-end=\"3431\">12.5%<\/strong> since the beginning of this year.<\/p>\n<p>The value continues to grow steadily thanks to the ongoing support of participants in the SW program. The goal is to <strong data-start=\"620\" data-end=\"701\">increase the proportion of passive assets and those providing regular payouts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-5\"><div>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em>The mission of the Southwestern Advantage Foundation is to become the largest investment-based charity fund in Eastern European countries, helping young people gain knowledge and develop character so they can fulfill their dreams in life. We help young people across Europe access better entrepreneurial education and share investment knowledge with those who otherwise wouldn\u2019t have the opportunity. Our goal is to reduce and prevent poverty through education and empowerment.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We direct our contributions to charitable projects in line with this mission. We donate only from the fund\u2019s passive income \u2014 allocating 50% of the returns to charity and 50% back to the fund.
