According to the jury, she stood out for her determination, international experience, and a clear Olympic ambition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Mai Brit has a versatile sports background \u2013 she previously practiced rhythmic gymnastics, skateboarding, and alpine skiing. Her path to snowboard cross began with a free trial lesson in Otep\u00e4\u00e4, and quickly developed into her main sport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Teder is part of <span class=\"s1\">Team Estonia\u2019s youth roster<\/span> and is currently the <span class=\"s1\">only female snowboard cross athlete competing for Estonia<\/span>. During the 2023\/2024 season, she participated in <span class=\"s1\">22 competitions<\/span>, including all FIS World Cup stages, finishing her debut World Cup season ranked <span class=\"s1\">27th overall<\/span>. Her best results include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">12th place<\/span> at the Junior World Championships in France<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">4th and 5th places at South American Cup events<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Multiple <span class=\"s1\">Top 30 finishes<\/span> at World Cup events in Canada, China, and Georgia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: center; margin: 2em 0;\">\n<p><video style=\"max-width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\" width=\"360\" height=\"640\"><source src=\"https:\/\/swacharity.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/5210ab9e6a65423ab29a15f42e20ab1e.mov\" type=\"video\/mp4\" \/><\/video><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 0.9em; color: #555;\">Mai Brit competing during the 2024 season<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\">Her goal is to qualify for the <span class=\"s1\">2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina<\/span>. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #3366ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #3366ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/sport.delfi.ee\/artikkel\/120357445\/mai-brit-teder-pusib-lumelauakrossis-olumpiakursil\">With <span class=\"s1\">only 32 athletes making the Olympic cut<\/span> and Mai Brit currently ranked <span class=\"s1\">28th in the world<\/span>, the goal is well within reach<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span> Preparations for the Olympic season begin in September with a six-week training camp in Argentina alongside her international training group.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A student of the <span class=\"s1\">Otep\u00e4\u00e4 branch of Audentes Sports Gymnasium<\/span>, Mai Brit is dedicated to both her academic and athletic development. Her coach, <span class=\"s1\">Magnar Freimuth<\/span>, who has worked with her for three seasons, writes:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>\u201cIt\u2019s rare to see a young athlete who is both talented and hardworking. No matter the conditions or challenges, she always delivers quality work. Her ambition and discipline will take her to the top \u2013 she fully deserves this support in pursuing her Olympic dream.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\">Notably, <span class=\"s1\">Mai Brit applied for the scholarship for a second time<\/span>, demonstrating her persistence and commitment to a professional sports career. The annual scholarship awards <span class=\"s1\">\u20ac1200<\/span> to one young athlete with the drive and potential to reach elite-level sports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The scholarship is issued by the <span class=\"s1\">Southwestern Advantage Foundation<\/span>, whose mission is to support youth entrepreneurship education and personal development in European countries where the Southwestern Advantage student program operates.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cWake up with determination, go to sleep with satisfaction.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p><strong>Greete Poderat (18.05.1996 \u2013 forever)<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\"><div>\n<p><em>Our big dream is to become the largest investment-based charity fund in Eastern Europe.
