Since 2020 we are giving out our annual Greete Poderat Young Athlete Scholarship to support ambitious young athletes like Greete Poderat was. Greete passed away in 2019 when she was just 22 years old.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p lang=\"et\">The idea of our annual scholarship is to encourage and support youth sport and career options in competitive sports. That\u2019s why we support one young athlete with <strong>1000 euros<\/strong>. Southwestern Advantage Foundation also wants to help young people\u2019s financial awareness: in addition to monetary support, 22-time Estonian champion Gerda Rand is offering the winner her personal mentorship. Gerda is an experienced investor and she has coached competitive athletes before since she was competing at a high level in cycling for 8 years.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"et\" style=\"margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 15pt; font-size: 12.75pt; color: #2f2f2f;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/swacharity.eu\/en\/scholarship2020\/\">In 2020 the scholarship was won by a young orienteer Mari Linnus from Audentes Sports Gymnasium.<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Conditions for applying:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2013 Age from 15 to 19 years.<br \/>\n\u2013 Letter of recommendation from the coach.<br \/>\n\u2013 List of sports achievements and sports camps.<br \/>\n\u2013 Last year\u2019s grade report from school.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cover letter:<br \/>\n<\/strong>\u201cHow can scholarship help me achieve my goals in sports?\u201d Please describe how you plan to use the money precisely and how it will help you achieve better results in your field. and hard-working in sports and entrepreneurship. In memory of Greete, Southwestern Advantage Foundation awards the Greete Poderat Scholarship every spring.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Southwestern Advantage Foundation\u2019s vision is to be the biggest charitable foundation in Eastern Europe that is built on investment principles and helping young people in obtaining knowledge and developing character so they can fulfill their dreams in life. We help European youth get better entrepreneurship education and offer investment knowledge to those who do not have the opportunity. We are working to reduce and prevent poverty.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We only donate money from the fund\u2019s passive income by directing 50% of the return to charity and 50% back to the fund.
